Bimota

2003 was the 30th annicersary of Bimota's foundation, one of the smallest motorcycle manufacturing companies in exiztence, yet know with affection all over the world.

Three partners, Bianchi, Morri and Tamburini, from whose initials the company's name was derived, founded Bimota in 1973 with a mission to manufacture extremely advanced and refined motorcycles, produced in limited editions and using components at the cutting edge of technology.

Until 1973 Bimota had been a company specialising in heating and air conditioning systems, but soon a passion for motor bikes, the same passion exhibited by people all over the region of Romagna where Bimota are based, led to the manufacturing of sports bikes within the same premises.

Various models desired by enthusiasts all over the world were created and only seven years Bimota achieved their first victory in the 350 cc World Championship. During the Eighties this success was continued and the company's second World Championship was achieved in the Superbike category.

However it was not only in racing that Bimota found many fans. Through its race program the company developed know how needed to create a series of production models and succeeded in manufacturing at its Rimini factory, motorcycle models able to create emotions for the street rider that can only be experinced when a machine is developed with care and commitment to be the best it can be.
